Tonette Williams completed her undergraduate degree at Barnard College, Columbia University in New York, NY in 2001 and achieved her Juris Doctorate at Brooklyn Law School, Brooklyn, NY in 2008. She is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey. After watching her own family fall into conflict and confusion following the death of her grandmother, Tonette expanded her practice area from Real Estate to include Estate Planning. After several years of training and study, Tonette founded The Planners Project Law Firm, PLLC in 2022, focusing on life & legacy planning, wills, trusts, Medicaid Planning, Special Needs Planning and Probate Administration. Utilizing her prior background in Real Estate and working with a network of other attorneys and professionals, Tonette's goal is to not only help clients with their estate planning needs but to act as a trusted advisor for other financial, personal and legal decisions for families throughout their lifetime. Tonette is currently researching the role of home ownership in building family wealth as she prepares to produce a documentary chronicling her family’s history of immigration and home ownership in conjunction with an informational manual about how families can structure passing homes to multiple children in order to minimize conflict and maximize wealth. Tonette is a member of the New York State Bar Association , Trust and Estates Section and Elder Law and Special Needs Section.
